This is our estimate and actual costs of the renovation to date. I intend to do as much work as possible myself which will keep
some of the costs down.

Notes to date
- Roofing came in a bit lower as we could save VAT on some of the work, and managed to re-use a lot of our existing slate
- Pointing was reduced as I did a lot of it myself rather than pay someone else to do the work
- We had underestimated how much plumbing first fix work would be needed, and also decided to buy a rainwater harvesting tank
for flushing the toilets and the washing machine
- I've had to spend a few thousand on tools, especially for making the windows and other woodwork. Boy those Festools aren't cheap, but they are worth it!
- * Okay, so the woodchip boiler broke then we have installed a Ground Source Heat system (we will get back the cost through RHI).
